How to register a domain:
- You can now register domains with BROKEhosting for $10 per year!
- On the Sign Up page you can check availability of domain names.
- You also have the option of registering a domain somewhere else (such as GoDaddy.com and have it hosted at BROKEhosting (see below).

How to transfer your domain:
If you're domain name is registered somewhere other than BROKEhosting, we will need to do a few things so that your domain name will be associated with your space at BROKEhosting. These instructions may be slightly different depending on where you are registered, but it will probably be similar. If you're having problems, send me an email.
- After signing up at BROKEhosting, log in to your Account Manager at the website where your domain name is registered.
- Select the domain you wish to transfer.
- Unlock the domain so that I can have it point to hosting at BROKEhosting.
- Email the Authorization Code to yourself and then forward it to me so the domain can point to space at BROKEhosting.
- Under the heading "DOMAIN NAME SYSTEM SERVERS (DNS SERVERS)" enter these DNS Servers:
Primary Server Hostname: NS1.BLUEHOST.COM
Primary Server IP Address: 74.220.195.31
Secondary Server Hostname: NS2.BLUEHOST.COM
Secondary Server IP Address: 69.89.16.4
- The change will take between 12 and 24 hours.

How to log on to FTP:
I recommend using FileZilla. It's free and does the trick :)
- Host/Server: yourdomain.com
- User: yourdomain@brokehosting.com
- Password: your password

How to publish Blogger to your site:
- Set up a new Blogger account or use your existing one.
- If you're creating a new blog, select "Advanced Setup."
- If you already have a blog set up, go to "Settings" on the blog you wish to publish to your new domain. And select "Publishing"
- Make sure your blog is set to publish with FTP, not publish to blogspot.com
- FTP Server: yourdomain.com
- Blog URL: http://yourdomain.com
- FTP Path: LEAVE BLANK
- Blog Filename: yourfilename.html
- Feed Filename: atom.xml
- FTP Username: yourdomain@brokehosting.com
- Password: your password

How to log in to email:
- Go to mail.brokehosting.com.
- A prompt should pop up that asks for your username and password. If the prompt doesn't come up, click on "WEBMAIL".
- Your username is your entire email address. username@yourdomain.com.
- Your password is the password you made upon signing up.
- You will then be able to choose "Horde" or "Squirrel Mail" as your email client.

How to forward your BROKEhosting email address to another email address:
- Log into your BROKEhosting email account (see instructions above).
- After logging in, choose "Forwarding Options" on the main menu.
- Select "Add Forwarder".
- Enter in the email address you wish to forward your BROKEhosting email to.
- Click "Add Forwarder".

How to embed a Flash video player on your website:

- Save your Flash video as a .flv file.
- Download the free Flash video player from FlowPlayer.org. Make sure it is saved as FlowPlayer.swf and upload FlowPlayer.swf to your web directory. Your FlowPlayer.swf file and your Flash video file (yourmoviename.flv) must be uploaded into the same directory.
- Insert this code into your HTML editor where you want the video to appear on your webpage:
- Replace yourmoviename.flv with your actual file name.
